Gavea

Designer Rebecca Virtue has done it again!  The 2012 Becca Swimwear Collection has finally arrived and the brand new styles are adorable as ever!  Featuring gorgeous jewel-toned solids and fabulously fierce new prints, these Becca Swimwear styles will have you looking and feeling like a million bucks!

One of my favorite 2012 Becca styles is the Untamed bikini.  This style features a stylish one-shoulder bandeau paired with a scoop bottom, both of which feature textured beaded details.  The exotic python-inspired print has pops of aqua and makes for one totally trendy look.

Another one of my favorite new styles from the 2012 Becca Swimwear line is the Network Monokini.  This style features a macramé braided back and it has an adjustable sash that can be tied in either the front or back, depending on the wearer’s preference.  And that cool blue Aquamarine hue is sure to complement any and every complexion!

Last but not least is the Sweet Indulgence print.  The colorful retro-inspired floral print is sweet and girly with a bold bohemian-esque edge.  The print pulls from all of the different solid hues in the Becca Swimwear line, so the Sweet Dress and Sweet Tunic cover-ups can be worn with almost any style from the new collection!

The 2012 swimwear collections are starting to pour in and we just received our first batch of 2012 Vitamin A Swimwear styles!  Although the coveted Cali brand has become known for its vibrant color palette in shimmery saturated hues, Vitamin A has also mastered the LBB trend, a.k.a. the “little black bikini.”

SPOTTED: Vanessa Minnillo in the Campana Zig Zag Flats (gold)

Another one of our favorite celebs was spotted in Melissa Shoes!  Vanessa Minnillo was recently caught by the paparazzi in LAX airport donning a very appropriate airport chic look.

While traveling, it’s important to be comfortable while still looking chic—especially for celebs.  Vanessa Minnillo nailed the jetsetter look wearing a cute striped tee with an asymmetrical cut, a pair of olive skinny cargos, and the Campana Zig Zag flats in gold.  The Campana flats from Melissa Shoes are one of their most popular styles.  They’ve already been spotted on stylish celebs like Jessica Biel, Alicia Silverstone, and Katy Perry!  And as Vanessa Minnillo demonstrates, these fun flats are the perfect way to add some sparkle to your outfit!

When you first hear “one-piece,” many people automatically think of their granny’s old unflattering swimsuit.  However, these people probably have never tried monokini swimsuits!  Monokinis are considered one-pieces, however they have sexy side cut-out sections, making them look like two-pieces from behind.  In our opinion, monokinis are great style solutions for women with all different body types.  This week’s Pick of the Week is on how to master the monokini by choosing a style that suits your needs.

Despite the side cut-outs, many monokini swimsuits resemble traditional one-pieces in that they provide great front tummy coverage.  These styles are perfect for women who crave the sexiness associated with bikinis, but who still prefer that substantial front coverage.  In addition, monokini swimsuits with good front coverage are perfect for hiding that tummy pooch that’s so hard for us ladies to get rid of.

On the other hand, a number of monokinis are even sexier (and almost as skimpy) as bikinis!  These styles of monokini swimsuits usually feature a thinner strip of fabric in the front (sometimes none at all), thus exposing more of your tummy area.  These monokinis are especially great for women with very straight and non-curvy figures; the exaggerated side cutouts help create the illusion of curves!
