Back in spring, actress Lindsay Lohan was spotted wearing a sexy fringe one-piece while she was surfing the waves, proving to the paparazzi that she can pull of a sporty-chic look with ease.  All summer long, we’ve been lusting over this sexy style from L Space Swimwear… and it’s finally arrived!  Last year we had the stylish Fringe Stardust One-Piece in black, but this year we got it in a gorgeous purple—one of the hottest colors for 2010!

This week’s pick of the week is the new Zipper One-Piece by Karla Colletto Swimwear.  Out of all of the new arrivals, this one-piece is definitely one of my favorites, and it shows you how runway fashion can easily (and successfully) be transformed for the beach.

If you haven’t noticed, zippers are one of this year’s hottest fashion trends, and they’re popping up everywhere—on dresses, shirts, shoes, bags, and more!  So for Cruise 2010, designer Karla Colletto created the Zipper One-Piece and definitely one-upped her competitors.  Without a doubt, this is one of the sexiest and most innovative styles that I’ve seen in the all of the different Cruise 2010 collections to date.  This 2010 Karla Colletto Swimwear style features a classic black one-piece with a silver zipper detail in front.  Furthermore, the Zipper One-Piece features a plunging neckline and sexy front cutout detail, which definitely ups its sex appeal.  Furthermore, this hot new style is made using a high Lycra Spandex count, which is ultra-slimming and sexy for your figure.  All in all, the Zipper One-Piece from the 2010 Karla Colletto Swimwear collection is classic and chic with a dash of punk rock ‘tude, for an overall modern and slightly futuristic look.

Seamless One-Piece by ViX Swimwear

The Seamless One-Piece from 2003 was a stunning black swimsuit, but what made it truly unique was its innovative design.  The one-piece from ViX Swimwear featured a single piece of seamless fabric without any lining, and it was held up by a thin piece of stretchy rubber material that stuck to you for a close and comfortable fit.  The sexy black one-piece also featured innovative lettuce-trimmed edges, which was a nice contrast to its overall smooth texture.  The result? An unparalleled sleek and sexy silhouette, that made ViX Swimwear one of the most unique and innovative companies of its time.

If you can believe it, summer is just about over.  Everything’s starting to change colors—from the leaves on the trees to that tan that you’ve been working hard at all summer.  But if you were already thinking of retiring from swimwear season, hold that thought—because the new cruise swimwear collections are just starting to heat up.

The lovely Hayden Panettiere was spotted sporting the Rita bikini by Melissa Odabash during a relaxing beach getaway.  This particular designer swimsuit looks especially flattering on Hayden Panettiere, and animal prints are oh so chic for swimwear this summer!

Rita by Melissa Odabash is a beautiful designer swimsuit featured in allover zebra print.  Instead of the traditional black and white zebra print, this particular designer swimsuit by Melissa Odabash is featured in creamsicle orange, which is a refreshing new update to the popular animal print.  Many of the products by Melissa Odabash feature pretty embellishments or beaded details, and the Rita bikini is no exception; this designer swimsuit features orange beaded details on both the triangle top and tie side bottom, which adds extra elegance to the beautiful designer piece.
