It’s that time of the year again!  Summer is quickly coming to an end and we’re prepping for the new season to come!  As always, we’re giving you an exclusive look at the hottest new swim trends and styles to keep you informed and in the know.  Take a look at what’s trending for the 2012 swimwear season…

New bra-inspired top by Vitamin A!

2. Colorblocking
Colorblocking is by far one of the hottest trends for 2012 swimwear.  In fact, we did not see one single brand that did not take part in this fun sporty-chic trend!  Although colorblocking usually features bold contrasting colors it can also be done with more subdued hues as well.  Whether you prefer bold blocks of color or a subtle neon strip, colorblocking is definitely a key trend for the 2012 swimwear season.

3. Bra-Inspired Tops
Lastly, the designers finally seem to be taking their bigger busted customers into serious consideration!  A number of designers have created brand new 2012 swimwear styles inspired by bras.  Expect to see brand new bra tops, many with amazing underwire support, as well as sexy ‘50s-esque pinup-style tops from Vitamin A, Seafolly, PilyQ, L*SPACE, diNeila Brazil, and more.

Adrian Bailon Spotted at the Miami Swim Show!

SPOTTED: Adrienne Bailon at the 2012 Miami Swimwear Show!  Every year, celebs flock to Miami during the swimwear industry’s most coveted tradeshow; some come to strut their stuff on the catwalk while others just come for a front row seat.  Well it seems that Ms. Bailon came for both and we got to see her up close and personal!

During the Beach Bunny and L*SPACE Swimwear fashion shows, we sat directly across from the former Cheetah Girl.  At the shows, Adrienne Bailon wore denim short shorts, a white tank, and a straw fedora hat; she dressed up her casual-chic look with a pair of gladiator-style Christian Louboutins.  And a few days later, she showed off her bikini bod while walking in the Have Faith Swimwear fashion show! 

As a final note, Adrienne Bailon looks even more gorgeous in person and Rob Kardashian definitely lost himself a hottie!

Salinas Booth at the 2012 Miami Swim Show!

For 2012, it’s all in the detail.  Salinas Swimwear has become known for their unique charm details and this year they’re cuter than ever!  Look for charms in the shape of piano keys and other Brazilian instruments, pom poms, hearts, parrots, swans, and more!

In terms of styles, look for solids with bold contrast color blocking and chic crocheted fabrics.  In addition, the 2012 Salinas Swimwear Collection has some of the flirtiest and most unique prints and patterns we’ve ever seen!  For example, you’ll see prints inspired by maps, music notes, hearts, colorful rainbow stripes, ultra-feminine florals, and more!  And as always, you can expect Salinas’ signature mismatching prints, vibrant color palette, and cheeky Brazilian bottoms!

We have just returned from Miami Swim Fashion Week where designers previewed their collections for the 2012 swim season.  We are really excited for the new collections and wanted to share some key trends we spotted.

Here is what is trending…

Shades of orange, florals & colored animal prints will be huge for 2012!

Oranges, Melons, and Peaches:  We are not talking about fruits, but rich shades of orange. 

Floral:  Everything from 50’s floral patterns to modern abstract floral prints. Most of all we love mixing them with solids.

Colored Animal Prints: Take the timeless style of animal inspired prints and add a splash of color and the result is a modern and sexy look we can’t get enough of.

Hello loves!  We’re in Miami for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week’s annual Miami Swim Show!  The annual tradeshow is definitely the highlight of the year for us, as we get to preview all of the gorgeous new styles for the coming year!

Aside from the runway shows, the Miami Swim Show also gives designers the opportunity to showcase their new collections in booths.  Buyers from around the world came out to Miami to see the new collections.  Although each booth is set-up differently, you can see from the Banana Moon and ViX Swimwear booths that designers always make sure to bring lots of different swimsuit and cover-up styles to show off the new fabrics, prints, styles, color palettes, and more.  Enjoy the pics from the 2011 Miami Swim Show, and maybe next time we’ll bring you along

Flowy Aqua Cover-Up

Here comes another sneak peek from this summer’s Miami Swim Show!  The 2011 Melissa Odabash Swimwear line debuted at the luxurious W Hotel in Miami.  The beautiful model turned swimwear designer premiered her sexy new 2011 swimwear and ready-to-wear styles to the world.  From the looks of it, the 2011 Melissa Odabash Swimwear collection should be very promising!

As you can see from the pictures, the new line has some amazing new swimwear and cover-up styles that are truly gorgeous from head to toe.  The color palette is bright and refreshing, featuring dreamy aquas, sunny yellows, bright fuchsias, crisp whites, and more.

Also, although Melissa Odabash collections are known for their chic solid staples, there definitely seems to be a lot more prints in the new line in comparison to other years!  Expect to see prints and patterns such as boho-chic paisleys in subdued hues and fierce animal prints with a sexy wild side!  You’ll look and feel like a million bucks!

The 2011 Miami Swim Show may be over and done with, but the buzz is just beginning!  Last Wednesday, guess who graced the cover of Women’s Wear Daily (WWD)?  I’ll give you a hint—think skimpy, sexy Brazilian bikinis.  Give up?  A hot new style from the 2011 Cia.Maritima Swimwear collection! 

In this past issue of WWD Wednesday, the beautiful Mandala string bikini from the 2011 Cia.Maritima Swimwear Collection was featured on the cover.  The sexy new triangle bikini features a bold floral print in a bright and bubbly color palette.  For spring/summer 2011, expect to see lots of sunny brights from Cia.Maritima that will radiate beautifully against your skin.  In the meantime, check out this sexy video clip from the 2011 Miami Swim Show!  Enjoy!
