Don’t get me wrong—living on the East Coast definitely has its perks, but during the wintertime, I get pretty jealous of that warm California sunshine. Not only does California have amazing weather all year round, but it’s also home to both Vitamin A Swimwear and South Coast Magazine—the magazine of the California Riviera.
In the most recent issue of South Coast Magazine, they featured an 8 page spread on Amahlia Stevens and Vitamin A Swimwear! The spread featured a
glamorous photo shoot shot in the local Laguna Beach area, and featured a number of different 2010 Vitamin A styles from both the Gold and Signature lines. Aside from the gorgeous photography, the spread also featured an article on Vitamin A Swimwear and how it came about. Amahlia Stevens tells South Coast Magazine that it all started with her designing swimsuits for herself; inspired by the lingerie in Milan and the beautiful California coastline, Amahlia Stevens reinvented the Brazilian bottom, and thus the coveted Vitamin A “California Cut” was born. The sexy take on the traditional Brazilian bottom features a sexy curve in the back that emphasizes and accentuates, without exposing too much.
Today, Vitamin A Swimwear continues to be inspired by both California beach
culture and chic international appeal. Amahlia Stevens chooses shimmering hues that flatter all skin tones and creates precise designer cuts that accentuate the feminine figure. Amahlia Stevens knows that her sultry swimsuits are not just for supermodels and celebrities, which is why before a style is made available to the public, she tries it on herself to make sure it fits real women. Also, the designer tells South Coast Magazine that she’s launching a Green Bikini collection made with 100% recycled nylon—I guess going green really can be gorgeous!
We couldn’t agree more with South Coast Magazine, as Vitamin A Swimwear is by far one of our most favorite designer swimwear brands, and we are pleased to carry it in our online store. A big congrats goes out to Amahlia Stevens!
